On a roll now ....

Just can't stop making journals now! A couple more in the offing I think. Todays is a copic bound journal with five signatures of lovely heavy cream paper which takes paint well. It's a nice size - about 7 1/2 X 9 (don't quote me on that).

 I'll put a few things inside, but leave it pretty much plain so the owner can have lots of fun.

We'll see what happens tomorrow although I have to go to the dentist (yuk).

Thanks for dropping by - lovely to read your comments.

* Another Journal ...

It's all your fault, Carolyn! I made another journal to match one of the spirit dolls. It just sort of 'happened' - you know how those things go. A little bit of paper, a cover to play with, some ribbons and and charms .... here's what happened.

Thanks for coming over.  It's a little cloudy here tonight - so not sure if we are going to get rain or not.

* Passing on Goddess Wisdom

Not too long ago while I was painting, words began to form in my mind. Naturally I grabbed a pen and wrote them down. I will share them with you. This painting is connected to those words. Actually, all of my paintings of the Iconic Women are connected to these words.  In ancient times Women were revered for their sacred knowledge. This painting is about just that. Passing that sacred ancient knowledge on to the women of this world, at this time. It is needed more than ever now.

The painting itself is not quite complete, however I will share it with you in order that you will understand the automatic writing which came to me.  First the painting.  The ancient knowledge here being represented by the gift of the bird.

Now for the writing which came to me a couple of weeks ago.  I believe it refers to all the women who have come through me on to
the canvas.

"Step into the world of Goddess Wisdom.   Divine feminine wisdom which lies deep within in each of us. The wisdom from ancient times before we existed. It is simplicity at its best.  This knowledge will unlock many doors if we but listen.  My journey with these women has been an exceptional one, a privileged one, and dare I say a divine one.  They carry knowledge of the Universe which was implanted into our ethers long before we appeared in the flesh.  It may be a long time since we’ve been in touch with this part of ourselves.  It’s time to reconnect.  It’s time to acknowledge our power as women.  It’s time to reclaim it and move forward in ways which will benefit not only ourselves, but the world. We are preparing to move into the 5th dimension.  The tipping point must be met - the 100th monkey syndrome.  It is part of the awakening of the earth. Time for us to dig deep, find and reclaim our sacred right to be exactly who we are, and to allow that light to shine out into the world in these times of great change. We are here by choice.  We are the privileged  ones.  Each of these women shares their messages.  Listen.  They speaking of the same knowledge which exists in us.  Dig deep.  Find it.  Use it.  Put it back to the world.  This knowledge is a sacred gift to us from the Universe. Using it and sharing our light with those on the planet at this time, is our gift to the universe."

Thanks so much for popping by, my lovlies.  Always delighted to read your comments.  Another sangria day in Mexico - 90 degrees, however nice and cool on my covered terrace with the ceiling fan.

A little progress being made

Well, my lovlies, if you want to warm up come and visit me. It's been hovering around 90 degrees for about a week. Beautiful in the morning and the evening, however middle of day - be on the terrace with a fan and a glass of something cool. Not complaining. Just observing.

 Did make some progress in the studio. The messages I received today were about how important it is to pass on our stories and knowledge and wisdom to the next generation. I agree. Here's how the painting is evolving.

Hope everyone is well and happy.  Thanks for dropping by.

Share a little of your knowledge and wisdom each day in some lovely way.  Life has an expiration date.

* Internet Down ...

For SIX entire days! Talk about feeling disconnected. When my internet goes down, my vonnage phone goes down. Such a wonderful feeling. It's back up and running now - so that's what counts. A quick block in today. Don't know where this one is coming from, or where it's going. I do know it's called, "The Gift of Ancient Wisdoms". The bird, of course, representing the Universal Knowledge that is within us all. An interesting painting for me - more to come as it progresses.

Then, just before my internet faded into the ethers, Carolyn wrote and said "Love your spirit dolls.  Think you should make journals to match."  What a good idea, I thought.  Raced upstairs to the studio and began a journal.

Well, I do now have one copic bound journal to match one spirit doll, however have decided it's far too much work when I'm trying to do so many other things.  I'm like that --- let's do it all.  No problema!  Well it is a problema .. I get into a state now.  So this is it, the one and only Journal and Doll that match.  (Good idea though, Carolyn!)

90 degrees here today - Habibi and I are living with a water spritzer in my hand.  He loves it.  Wags his tail when I come with it.  It certainly keeps us refreshed!

Thanks so much for dropping by.  I'll be getting around to visit you all hopefully tomorrow.  Thanks for all your concern about where I had disappeared to.  It's comforting someone notices I'm not showing up!  :o)  Take care and thanks for your wonderful comments.

* More Spirit Dolls ...

I'm taking a break from painting, not only because I am out of Canvas(!), but because I want to get some product ready for the next tourist season artisan fairs. Right now I'm doing a few spirit dolls - then I'll take a break and do a few journals etc. A little painting in between, however I'm having prints etc. made - so it all takes time and $$$. Here's today's little doll - she's lovely and almost a little fragile. I believe all these dolls are guardians of our creativity and inspiration. They are infused with that spirit as
I work on them.

She was very difficult to photograph - I hung her in a tree, on the wall, on a ladder, inside the house - nothing really did her justice - so use your imagination.  She's very feminine and delicate and wonderful.

Now, take your pick - I couldn't decide!

Also, Matilda has been whining.  Simply wouldn't stop.  Says she looks like a goat and she's not going to the fair looking like a goat. I had to do some adjustments and she's happier, although not thrilled.  She has chosen, however, to go to the fair because she loves her flowers.

That's it for today.  Forgive me if I haven't made all the rounds to your blogs yet - this internet has been up and down like a yo yo -- very very annoying!

Thanks again for visiting.  Gotta make a new batch of sangria - you folks sure do enjoy it. :o)  Take care and create something wonderful.

Guardian of Art Journals

Another Spirit Doll today. I thought it would be nice to have someone to inspire you and take care of your art journal. I'm always needing ideas, this "The Guardian of Art Journalling" is just the thing. She's looking forward to it 'cause she loves creating.

How are you all today?  Got my skylight fixed before the rainy season ... phewww!  Couldn't stand another season of floods.  Hope it's fixed properly this time.

Worked in my studio and enjoyed making this little Spirit Doll.  I find them so inviting.  Thanks so much for stopping over.  Sorry there was no sangria out - don't like to leave it lying around when workers are about.  :o)  They might get the idea I'm a lush.  Brrrrhahahahahah!

The Spirit of Inspiration

Feeling a little out of sorts in the art department? Don't know what to do next? Ideas are not coming easily? Have a little chat with the "Spirit of Inspiration" and all will be well. Keep her close in your studio. She is here to inspire you. And inspire you she will.

The Spirit of Inspiration

It's Monday already.  Not sure where the weekend went.  I'm having a little work done on the house tomorrow.  Just maintenance.  How was your weekend?  Do hope it was a good one.  Thanks for stopping in.  Carolyn, do hope you are feeling much better.  Thinking of you.

* And then there was four ....

My last canvas, yet again! Alas, and it's Sunday - can't even go to the art store. What's a girl to do. I must amuse myself with other ventures, but I find myself not so interested in doing to. Once I get going perhaps. I have many ideas churning in my head. There's a new girl on the block today. "Matilda". She's off to the fair. I grouped them all together for a photograph so you could see my
first attempts ever at Whimsey!

Here's Matilda on her own.  She was quite put out I would not at least give her her due - after all she is hot off the press today and she wants to celebrate.  Do you think I should let her go to the fair by herself looking like that???

A new week tomorrow.  Didn't that just happen seven days ago.  I can't keep up.  Our clocks in Mexico go ahead one hour this weekend.  I almost forgot 'til I looked at my computer.

Thanks for dropping in and leaving your lovely comments.  I do appreciate it so very much.  It's like being connected in a special way.  Hope you  are having a great weekend.

* Back at the Easel

Had to go and purchase a couple of canvas. Simply couldn't wait. Anyway, we found out that with my discount at the art shop, the carpenters small canvas are more expensive, so they have been cancelled and large ones ordered. I don't know if this little painting is complete or not. I will probably know tomorrow when I look at it again. His name is "The Wise Old Man of Pay's Hay Farm".

Hope you are all having a very lovely weekend whatever you may be doing.  Information for Valerie ... with Global Climate Change well under way, we had winds today which hit a record high and took the temperature to a record low.  My lips turned blue walking three doors down to the tienda.  Aren't you glad you are not here!  ;o)  I would of course send my private jet for you as I'm sure it will clear in a day or two.  Unfortunately, all flights are grounded at the moment.  'sigh'

Take care.  Do lots of creative stuff.  Have fun.  Can't wait to see your next creations.
