Guess who's coming to dinner and that BIG Beautiful Moon

Jackie and Janis showed up at my door claiming they were hungry, in need of food and drink (even through Janis was carrying two bottles of wine in her hands!)  It had been raining just a little now and then so I decided to set the table inside, however when they arrived the weather was perfect and we opted to sit out on the terrace. It was a 'slow food night', beginning with guacamole/chips and hicima, accompanied of course by a glass or two of the bubbly. Then we moved on the a small salad, after which the main course was trout, mashed potatoes with garlic and onion, and carrots in cream. We lingered for dinner, not rushing into the next course, and enjoyed each other's company immensely. Time has passed so quickly, and a month (which seemed like a lovely lot of time) has turned into a week. They leave next Saturday, early.

Habibi demanded to know where Bob was ....

Which Janice found very amusing and immediately fired off an email to Bob informing him he was missed!

We talked and toasted and ate our way through the evening until it was suddenly 10:00 pm and time to go home.

At the moment it's 3:00 AM.  I awoke to the beautiful big moon shining through my window, so stepped onto the terrace and caught this picture.

Truly gorgeous - hope some of you were able to catch a glimpse.

A lovely evening was had by all, and now the moon is in a position to shine in my window when I go back to bed.  Thanks for dropping by - I do appreciate it so much.  And your comments are simply wonderful - thanks again,

Happy Birthday to you .....

Janis' Birthday yesterday. She chose her favorite restaurant "Tio Lucas", and off we went. The atmosphere was beautiful, service top notch, food, over the moon and company , divine. We had a lovely evening.

Drinks arriving!  Jackie wearing her beautiful hand beaded necklace.  All the tiniest of beads, made in the old tradition of the  Huichol indigenous tribes.  Very cool!

Miss Sylvia graced us with her presence.

Food arriving - Sylvia has fresh Tuna.

Ah!  Nothing like being serenaded!

Janis in 7th heaven.

Lovin' that musica.

We were sitting at a table located under a gorgeous big tree decorated with electrified stars.  LOVE!

Making our dessert crepes from scratch - table side.  Love it!

Janice with the card I made her (from scraps)

My dinner divine.  Bakes potato spinich and as you can see - absolutely huge butterflied shrimp.

Now for some close ups of the card a made with the scraps!  So much fun to work with.

I constructed the card out of chipboard so it would stand up.  The last photo - the size of bag you get to stuff as many scraps as you can get in there (which believe me is quite a few) for $8.00 of fun which will last a long time.

Glad you could come over for a visit.  Thanks - hope you enjoyed the Birthday Party.  Bob gave Janice the most gorgeous silver dragon fly earrings with a drop of amber hanging from the bottom.  Drooooool.  Sylvia gave her a gorgeous hand blown glass hummingbird for the garden, and I'm not sure what Jackie gave her. Have to be nosy and find out.  Take care - see you again soon.

A photo shoot in San Miguel with Jackie ...

What a lovely day. Jackie invited me to go with her on a photo shoot around San Miguel in a Taxi. We just drove and every time we saw something we liked we screamed stop! Didn't drive anywhere in particular - just the ordinary neighbourhoods - nothing fancy. We enjoyed ourselves and each others company. Jackie graciously took me out for lunch at a lovely little restaurant we are becoming addicted to.

Here's a little peek at the some of San Miguel.

Only in Mexico ...

If you made it this far with me, congratulations, and thanks for coming along for the ride.  Take care.  See you soon.
