I cut one apart and made a journal. All my supplies have arrived now for book binding. I have the waxed linen thread and book binding cloth in stock ... so I can 'go for it' whenever I feel the urge to play.
I did an open spine binding and had some challenges with this one. I'm not sure why, although I think it was because I had so many of the pages different lengths and they kept shifting. At one point I pulled the thread to tight in the wrong direction and ripped one of the signatures quite badly. Alas and Alak! Such is life. I carried on, had fun finishing the book. Decided to collage the front.
Hope you all enjoyed a wonderful summer weekend. Thanks for dropping in .. the Sangria is on this week. We can sit on the terrace and chat!

Did you say Sangria? With fresh fruit! I'm coming!!! Love your ledger, never seen one of them on EBAY here, but well done on getting it and your book looks good! That must have kept you busy yesterday! Have fun playing with your new things, Hugs,
Valerie
LOVE your ledger transformations! Did you say Sangria? Oh please, pour me a glass, I'll be right there, and I'll tell you all about the Alexander Calder mobile exhibit that I visited yesterday at the Museum of Art in Orange County....amazing!
Lovely! I'm coveting those butterfly diecuts.
Love your ledger book and the butterfly theme is wonderful. What is it about butterflies that are so appealing? Is it their carefree motion or beauty.
Hugs,

I love your ledger journal. Way too cool. Oh my gosh, Sangria, I'll be right there........that is my favorite especially with fresh fruit.
Hi Donna! This book is so cool. We have the same whim these days. I busted out my book of book binding and tried an easy one yesterday. Need more time to play. Thanks for the great inspiration!
Take care!
Oh, what fun to sit on the terrace and have Sangria with you!! Old ledger books are so wonderful. I have an old one that belonged to my dad and granddad's business, they were both stock brokers in the day! I will use it somehow, sometime, but have not figured it out yet. It is VERY tall. I like the binding you did on yours, Donna. Thanks for checking in and all your lovely comments. xo lenna
