The news isn't great - although it could be worse. I have had the very rare occurrance of a stroke in my left eye. The main artery into the eye is damaged. The damage is permanent. Yes, it was a shock. I have batteries of testing to go through before I return to the specialist next Wednesday. At that time he will take more photographs of the eye, send me to the hospital for more testing, and when he gets all the results together, he will make an informed prognosis. There is a possibility lazer or injections may be able to improve my sight somewhat. We will see, and I will keep you posted.
Asking for your prayers, your loving thoughts for healing in whatever way you communicate with the Universe. There is nothing more to be done. It is what it is. I know in time my other eye will compensate, 'cause that's how nature works. In the meantime, I simply have to relax, surrender and accept. That may take me a few days ... ha ha.
Thanks for dropping by. Hope your autumn days are wonderful ones. xoxo Donna
“One thing: you have to walk, and create the way by your walking; you
will not find a ready-made path. It is not so cheap, to reach to the
ultimate realization of truth. You will have to create the path by
walking yourself; the path is not ready-made, lying there and waiting
for you. It is just like the sky: the birds fly, but they don't leave
any footprints. You cannot follow them; there are no footprints left
behind.”

My dear Donna. What terrible to read what's happening with you. I can understand that to accept this is very very difficult. Your eyes are so important. I will pray for you that it will stop now and not being more worse.
My lovely greet and a big big hug
Marja
It's hard to know what to say to you darling Donna, other than at least it is only the one eye...still sounds flippant. I truly pray that the universe will see fit to allow at least some improvement through the medical services. Best of luck sweetheart :) XXX
I'm sorry that it isn't good news and it must be quite upsetting, but like you said the other eye will compensate and so you must find gratitude where you can. I do hope Mexico has the best care for you.. if not I know AZ has some great eye specialists and I always have a guest room available.
I am sorry to hear about your eye issues and pray they will be able to improve the problem over time.
It's not good news, Donna, but as you say, the other eye will take over . I know this from experience! Your positive outlook will help a lot, too! Big hugs, Valerie
I'm so sorry Donna. I've never heard of an eye stroke. I wish you the very best of recovery and of course I'll be sending you healing energy. :)
Oh, dear Donna, I am so very, very sorry to hear this. How difficult it must be to accept in this situation. Holding you up and sending whatever positive energy I can generate your way!
I will say that this same thing happened to a friend of mine's husband several years back. He was only in his 30's and it was quite a shock. He lost all vision in the eye, but he has completely adjusted and now lives a completely normal life.
It will be a journey, to be sure. Sending much love as you embark upon it..... XOX
