And now for something completely different. (I can't stop thinking about Monty Python these days!) Remains of the Day. This is going to be a fun journal to make. Certainly an interesting on line course. Much more involved than I expected and I am very much looking forward to the process. I began today by sewing the 'first round' of papers together. I won't do the actual cover until I go shopping for some more thread, pins and other supplies needed to finish the project. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get everything needed to I can really get my teeth into this.
Got my sewing machine up and running. Somewhere (out there) the manual for this machine awaits. Who knows where I put it. Thank goodness for You Tube ... I learned to use the automatic needle threader which is very different from my Janome I had back in Canada. I had a boo hoo moment when I thought about Jan ... but I'm over it now.
Just keep sewing all that paper together. |
Until you get a stack of about twenty or more. And that's only the beginning ... |
I'll keep you posted as it progresses.

OOOOOOOOh, this looks VERY Exciting! Have a great day, I'm off to the doc's and then to visit a friend. Love those sewn pages. Tell me more about it! Hugs, Valerie
Your pages are looking good. Thanks to your post, I've signed up for the Remains online class, too. All that papery, shabby, stitched goodness is just so appealing. I haven't started yet, but have watched some of the videos. Looking forward to see what else you do!
Hi Nancy ... it will be fun to have company ... are you going to join the yahoo group? We could keep in touch that way ... I have just joined. Have fun 'hunting and gathering'.
This is wonderful, Donna. I have registered for the class and have the materials, I just have not made time to start, yet. I will! I look forward to your installments : ) lenna

We are all enablers....and it couldn't get much better. Won't it be fun to work through the class with friends! I look forward to your results and viewing pages along the way. You will be all ready with your sewn pages and they look fantastic.
Down with sinus infection today which happens every spring so I didn't get very much done. I did manage to finish one more little note packet. If I can do one or two a week I'll have a nice supply for little gifts.
Hope your day was more productive. Valerie is a whiz and finishes so many lovely projects. I am too undecided and have to try different elements and papers, switch items around before I can complete an item. It always takes me twice as long as the gals in club. I like to experiment more rather than just duplicating the same thing over and over. My note packets will all be different.
Have a pleasant evening..
Hugs

Just sent the request to join the Yahoo group... this will indeed be fun. So far I'm enjoying just watching the videos. But soon...soon I'll begin. Need to complete the little book swap projects for Lenna's group first.
