* First Nicho Class Tomorrow ...

I'm ready.  Windows cleaned.  Walls dusted.  Bano cleaned.  Everything and I mean everything wiped down with a damp rag to get rid of the dust.  I'm ready!  Except for a few refreshments I will take up in the morning.

There will be four adults and two children.  All six love to play at the craft table.  I'm very excited.  I haven't taught since I had the gallery at which time I taught framing.  This is much more fun.  I'm calling my little get togethers "Parties" .... everyone seems to have so much fun.  Why not.

The Studio is not quite finished ... no light fixtures, no curtains.  It's workable.  Here's a few shots.  Would you like to join us?  I'll make room for you!

Temporarily moved the sofa out onto the terrace.  It will give us more room to move around inside and a nice view when we want to take a break.

A few examples of some Nichos I have made.  Many North Americans do not know the history of the Nicho is, nor have they ever experienced making one.
Be all you can be and live a good life – have fun with it.~ Tina Yothers

Oh Donna, it's fabulous -- bright colors and all. I am so glad you decided to add a studio. It will make your life so much happier and you will now have the space to invite others. PLUS. . .the greatest of all you can start a project, leave out your paints and and tools which you had to put away when you were doing art in the main casa.

HOW WONDERFUL!!!!!

You are right on all counts, Carolyn. Leaving my work out is so great - and I was truly getting very weary of the clutter in my main living area (such a small space). This weekend I will do more 'moving up from the bodega' and organizing. Wish you could pop over to play. Thanks for coming over to my blog - it is very much appreciated. hugs, Donna

I'll be right over!! How fun would that be!! Had a similar table set up at the retreat with all 6 of us around it playing, creating, sharing and talking about everything under the sun. Such a special time. I know you will have a blast! Your studio really is to-die-for. Wish mine was a tad bigger to do what you are doing, but I'm not complaining. Just came in from there so things can dry a bit. Love, love it!!
