What you have just read is a suggest post from blog lovin'!  To be perfectly honest, I am so confused I'm getting some professional help to explain this entire thing to me. These meds have actually made my brain very 'dull' and sometimes I can't put 2 and 2 together! Annoying. So good luck - I guess it will all fall into place like anything new. Guadalupe District Murals ...

Developing into a new and very hot art district, Guadalupe is coming up with all sorts of new ideas including art walks and graffiti type murals on the stone, brick and plastered walls. Not able to resist, Jackie invited me on another photo shoot which was really fun. Here are the photos. If you can hang on until the end you will be doing well.

This house has been here decorated like this for a long time.  Fits right in now.

AH!  You made it to the end.  Congrats.  It was a lovely afternoon out and fun to see all the new art.  Last night the three of us and Mario enjoyed our 'last supper' together.  Saturday morning EARLY, Jackie and Janis will be leaving for NOB, one to Florida, one to Philadelphia.  Don't know when they will be back, but already I am looking forward to their next journey.

Hope you enjoyed the 'tour'.  Thanks for dropping by.  Take care.

Painted and finished the Mexico Journal

A little further on the painting today. I was told the name of the painting is "Everything is going to just fine." I like it very much.  Still not finished, but getting closer.

Next I worked on the Mexico Journal.  Thanks again Carolyn.  It was fun to complete.  I wrapped the edges in red polka dot tape and put glitter on the front (although you can't see it very well).  Added note paper for writing and some of my cards for interest.  See what you think.

Of course Frida has to appear here and there.

Some note paper and a card in this pocket.

Note paper, a frame for one of your photographs and a card.

All the white paper you see which is bound is water colour paper for painting or sketching.

More note paper in the pocket.

And last but not least, because Chrome wanted to place it here, is the cover!   The glitter doesn't show up well in the photo, but it adds a bit of Mexico.

That's all for today my lovely's.  Have a photo date with Jackie tomorrow and going to their house for dinner - so that will be a lovely day.  Hope your days are lovely and creative.  From the looks of your blogs -- you are having a wonderful time!  Thanks so much for dropping by.

This painting seems to be taking .....

FOREVER! I just can't seem to get a good run at it - can't seem to sit there all day like I usually do. hmmmmm... This is as far as I
have come.

Do you like the painting with or without the eyelashes.  I thought I would love them, but I'm not so sure.  What's your'e oppinion??

That's all she wrote for today.  I did work on my Mexico album - it should be ready for another peek tomorrow.

Thanks for coming by.

Mexico Journal

I worked on the Mexico Journal most of the day, and am almost finished. A little foo fah here and there and it will be done. This is the chipboard shell Carolyn sent me to play with and sell at the market. Here are a few photos. It needs to be kicked up a notch, so perhaps I will do that tomorrow.

I've added water colour paper for painting or sketching, pockets for keeping notes, souvenirs, or photographs.  Need to add some note pages for writing, perhaps a little glitz and it will be done.  Thanks, Carolyn.  xo

I worked on my painting a little as well.

It's Sunday evening already.  Hope you had a lovely weekend.  There is still a chance to see the BIG moon tonight - not here though - it's cloudy.  Thanks for the visit and all your lovely comments.

and maybe a happy ending doesn't include the man you love, the family you care for, the friends you have had forever.  Maybe it's you on your own, picking up the pieces and starting over, freeing yourself for something better in the future.  Maybe a happy ending is just moving on.

Guess who's coming to dinner and that BIG Beautiful Moon

Jackie and Janis showed up at my door claiming they were hungry, in need of food and drink (even through Janis was carrying two bottles of wine in her hands!)  It had been raining just a little now and then so I decided to set the table inside, however when they arrived the weather was perfect and we opted to sit out on the terrace. It was a 'slow food night', beginning with guacamole/chips and hicima, accompanied of course by a glass or two of the bubbly. Then we moved on the a small salad, after which the main course was trout, mashed potatoes with garlic and onion, and carrots in cream. We lingered for dinner, not rushing into the next course, and enjoyed each other's company immensely. Time has passed so quickly, and a month (which seemed like a lovely lot of time) has turned into a week. They leave next Saturday, early.

Habibi demanded to know where Bob was ....

Which Janice found very amusing and immediately fired off an email to Bob informing him he was missed!

We talked and toasted and ate our way through the evening until it was suddenly 10:00 pm and time to go home.

At the moment it's 3:00 AM.  I awoke to the beautiful big moon shining through my window, so stepped onto the terrace and caught this picture.

Truly gorgeous - hope some of you were able to catch a glimpse.

A lovely evening was had by all, and now the moon is in a position to shine in my window when I go back to bed.  Thanks for dropping by - I do appreciate it so much.  And your comments are simply wonderful - thanks again,
