* Another Play Day ...

Wendy came over this morning.  You know what that means.  Two people who do nothing but create, create, create!  I love the messes we make.  Such happy messes.  Wendy worked on her Nichos.  She was doing some 'refurbishing' as well as some new ones.

We are able to make a wonderful mess, very quickly.  Practice makes perfect.
Wendy is the "Glitter Queen".  The only thing which might slow her down is a "Glitter Shortage" ...   She can't wait to get her little fingers in there!
Yup.  We've done it again ... More Nicho's to add to the pile.

Wendy Did It!  Wendy had to bring her car today.  She only lives a block away, but couldn't carry all her 'stuff'.  I call her "Have Studio, Will Travel"!

I was still busy with collage, so I carried on.  I'm afraid I wasn't following any of the class lessons today .. just played.  I have a couple more pages to complete, then I will bind the book somehow.  Here's how it's looking now.

Page One
Pages two and three.
Page four is still blank.  This is page 5.  Papa when he was four.  He loved horses.
Pages 6 and 7.  You read the history of these on yesterday's blog.
Pages 8 and 9.  Also on yesterday's blog.
Pages 10 and 11.  It's all about ME.  Flower Girl!  They began to put lovely things on my head and I began to fall in love with crowns.  It has never left me .. he he.

What will become Page 12.  This was my parents wedding.  I like it because it's a little out of focus .. like life.
I'm not sure how I will finish the book.  Perhaps I will put separate covers on it.  Who knows.  This has all been so unexpected.  It just 'happened'.  I will keep it.

“I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavours to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal, and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within him; or the old laws be expanded, and interpreted in his favour in a more liberal sense, and he will live with the license of a higher order of beings. In proportion as he simplifies his life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness. If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.”  Henry David Thoreau

I can't tell you how it makes me feel to see that I'm not the only one to create a total mess when doing crafty projects. WHAT FUN YOU HAD. Wendy's nichos are fabulous and your journal is above and beyond. What a wonderful accomplishment and treasure to share with all of us.

Hugs,
C

You and Wendy make the most fabulous messes! The nichos are wonderful, and the pile grows in such creative ways. Your gluebook.. also looking great. Yes, I love what you did with your Mom's photo on page 1. It is the best of the three arrangements. And that car... what can I say? It's spectacular.

donna, forgive my absense -i have been a bit busy with the little book swap and all my other "stuff"! which i love, but sometimes keeps me very busy. I ended up putting your link on my desktop so I could find it easier. AnY WaY, I just caught up and love what you have been very busily doing with Mary's gluebook lessons! I think she would agree that you don't need to follow her instructions exactly. You have done so much and it looks so good! Truly. Now you have reminded me, I would like to enter her green paper challenge! here's a hug (()) I will find you again soon. Keep up your wonderful art-ing!! lenna
