* Experimenting with Tags

In the past, I have not been a big tag girl.  I usually prefer to make a card.  So, today, I thought I would change all that and make a tag for a thank you note.  I had fun, and this is what happened.

I must admit, I LOVE doing collage pieces, so this was FUN.
The other side of the Thank You card says "Gracias".  I made the envelope so the tag slips in the side, left open so the fibre hangs out and looks very festive.   This wouldn't work if you have to pop it in the mail.  The back of the tag is covered in the same paper and I was able to write a personal note there.

Everyone (it seems) in San Miguel has some sort of calling or business card.  When you meet, you always exchange ways in which you can keep in touch.  There is no phone book here, so this has evolved out of necessity.  I ordered come very inexpensive calling cards, and thought they would do.  I strongly DISLIKE them.  (Just SOOooo boring!)  Today, when I was playing, and there was a scrap of paper sitting on the table in front of me, I picked it up and this is what happened.

outside of the card

Inside, I simply added the labels which I use for my greeting cards.  It works.  They are simple to make and I only need a few in my purse at a time.  Below my name, it has my email address (in real life).

 You will have to experiment and try things out for yourself and you will not be sure of what you are doing. That's all right, you are feeling your way into the thing. ~ Emily Carr

Love the red and white cards, Donna. You always find the perfect solution for your needs.

Your tag card is so fun. Clowns always make me smile and your results created a very happy thank you card.

Friday, our small stamp/art club meets and I still have my five swap cards to finish so that is what I've been working on today. Will put one on my blog when finished.

I have my new earrings on and they hang beautifully. It will be fun to see what the gals say tonight. I really like them a lot!

Would you believe we got snow half way down the mountains early this morning and it hasn't melted yet.

Perhaps mother nature has forgotten it is MAY not FEBRUARY.

Hugs,
c
