*News of the Day and Thinking of Australia

It was chilly this morning.  Up to the studio Habibi arranged the pillows just so. He looked very cozy indeed.  I had to grab the camera.

The view from the terrace was lovely.
And the Bottle Bush tree I was so afraid was dead in the spring has flourished.  All is well with my world.
Yesterday Allyson and I went to the carpenters shop and purchased a couple of book cases and a table.  They need to be painted, which I'm really hoping can be accomplished this weekend.  This will give me some glimmer of hope that the studio is beginning to be organized!  It's driving me a little bit nutty!

They will be painted the same vibrant colours as the studio in contrast with whatever wall they are positioned on.

My little succulent garden

is doing well.
A couple of days ago, one of my girlfriends from Australia called and we chatted for for almost an afternoon.  It felt so good!  She has just had a hip replacement.  We were saying how much fun it would be to be healing in the same room.  Distance ... the last frontier!  It got me thinking about the last time we were all together. It was Australia 2004/05.  I ventured down unda for nearly six months.  They passed me from person to person, until one day someone drove me to the airport and sent me home.  ha ha.  We did have a grand time.  Today I got out what few photographs I have left and did a spread in my journal.

Nothing more to report for the moment.  Hope all is well in your world.  Thanks for stopping by.  xxoo Donna

I sometimes ponder who I might have been had I never met these women so long ago.  They definitely changed my life for the better.  I love you all dearly!

It's great to have such great friends as your Australian ladies. It appears you had a great time. Memories are great to have when you can't be together. Can't wait to see your bookshelves all painted in your studio. Hope this finds you feeling better.

Such a meaningful page with meaningful people. Cold? It was 2 C here this morning. Frost and some ice. Your Habibi has the right idea. I have had to limit my computer time to minimum because my neck is being bad.I will pop in whenever I can. hugs..Donna

Great photos. Mr. Habibi knows comfort, that's for sure. Good luck with the shelves. Fun to look at your trip down under.

WOW...look at your tree! I can't believe how gorgeous it looks from earlier days when it was neglected and looked so lonely. It definitely loves your care and your jardin.

Fantastic journal pages from your trip to Australia. I remember when you went on that trip and it is fun to see photos where you were enjoying your friends company.

I also like the other photos you shared, especially Habibi all tucked in between the pillows -- smart puppy!

Happy you got out of the house and have a project to help you organize your studio. How about some before and after photos for us.

Because I won your last blog freebie I won't enter this one, Donna. Have to give others the opportunity to receive some of your love and generosity.

No more digging in the yard -- I've had my fill for fall. Now it is time for me to organize my craft area and get on with my holiday projects.

Have a great weekend.

Hugs,
C
