* Playing and Carving

I've been playing with my new carving tools again today.  It's been interesting.  I guess what I like most about the process is it's calming effect, and the primitive outcome.  I don't think I would want to carve anything too refined.  Here's what happened today.

This is the largest stamp I have carved.  Fits on a sort of business size envelope, so you can get an idea.

I'm not sure I achieved the look of "Crow" is wanted, but I like her anyway.

My funny little horsie.  Her name is Penelope.

Have NOT made it up to the studio as yet.  I've given up setting a time.  I guess it will happen when it happens.

Thank you all my Lovelies for stopping by.  It's Friday already, so have a relaxing, creative weekend.

Your stamp are fantastic, Donna. I think it's the imperfections which make them look so good, and the crow looks very much like the one which sits in my tree watching me everyday! Glad that you have such a nice occupation just now. Take care, hugs, Valerie

Hi Donna I love your carvings just beautiful .I love the primitive aspect of them they have turned about beautifully. Maybe if you had made it up the stairs you wouldn't have carved them so that's good for us.
