I Learned Something today ....

about myself, actually. I really really strongly DISLIKE cutting paper. Oh, maybe if I had an electric paper cutter, or even one of those good old strong ones with the big lever handle that always reminded me of a gillotine! But Oh PLEASE - don't give me one of these little plastic things that will only take 5 pieces of paper at a time and expect me to make umteen dozen journals! NO. NOT. ME. So I think my journal making days are over for a little while at least. I honestly have more fun tearing the big sheets of water colour paper into pieces to form signatures and do copic binding. No more whining! I did get four out of five journals done today -
so I can't complain too much.

Hot again here today.  What about where you are?  Thanks for the visit - always lovely to know you have dropped by. xo

The first sign of a nervous breakdown is when you start thinking your work is terribly important.

Glad they are done, and looking gorgeous, but know what you mean about modern cutters! I have one of those ancient thingies with a lever, very solid, very strong, and thrown out by someone who left it on the street with other 'rubbish' to be collected. Good job I got there before the garbage men did! Hugs, Valerie

Donna, what fabulous little handmade journals! I asked for a paper cutter for Christmas last year because I often need to cut photos that are longer than 12 inches. Not very romantic, but it's a gift that keeps on giving, you know??

These are lovely journals Donna. I know what you mean about cutting paper, wish someone would make a really good one. Even the guillotine ones eventually start to cut on a curve. 78 and wet here in Michigan today. ~Diane

I so understand you. Your thingy gets at least 5 sheets of paper in it, mine says three are more than enough. :) Loving the journals!

Oh yum - I have a framed Madonna made of sequins that looks so much like this journal cover. You know you have to be free with your art work - if it becomes too tediious - bah humbug I say! But I have to admit, I do love your journals!!
