A little further on the painting today. I was told the name of the painting is "Everything is going to just fine." I like it very much. Still not finished, but getting closer.
Next I worked on the Mexico Journal. Thanks again Carolyn. It was fun to complete. I wrapped the edges in red polka dot tape and put glitter on the front (although you can't see it very well). Added note paper for writing and some of my cards for interest. See what you think.

Of course Frida has to appear here and there. |
|
Some note paper and a card in this pocket. |
|
Note paper, a frame for one of your photographs and a card. |
|
All the white paper you see which is bound is water colour paper for painting or sketching. |
|
More note paper in the pocket. |

And last but not least, because Chrome wanted to place it here, is the cover! The glitter doesn't show up well in the photo, but it adds a bit of Mexico.
That's all for today my lovely's. Have a photo date with Jackie tomorrow and going to their house for dinner - so that will be a lovely day. Hope your days are lovely and creative. From the looks of your blogs -- you are having a wonderful time! Thanks so much for dropping by.

Donna, the MEXICO journal is finishing up very well. What do you have as a binding machine? I like what you have used much better than three metal rings. The binding holds the pages together much better for a more attractive journal and the pages open to make adding photos or writing much easier. Adding some of your personal art work provides color for a very special effect. (Don't forget to sign the artwork.)
Love the new painting! And yes, I even like the eyelashes. You could reduce the size on the second woman. I know I have friends with very long eyelashes which I envy and the ones I came with which are short and certainly not very thick. The painting is very peaceful as the dove signifies and the painting reflects the love and support of the two women.
Gorgeous work Donna. Your painting is wonderful, and the album is just - olé! Really fantastic! Hugs, Valerie
Ha, Ha!!! You did use eyelashes. So what do I know!!! I love your art! Now that journal is something else - I think the Day of the Dead is so much fun and really kind of spooky. Someone will find them a treasure when shopping!!!! Can't wait to hear about your day today and maybe if we are lucky, you will post some pictures!
Sandy
The painting is stunning Donna, straight from your heart! Your journal is beautiful too and the glitter shows beautifully on my monitor. Hugs, ~Diane
That cover is divine!
