* House update ..

We are now into the chinking stage.  I'm not really sure what you call it, however it's makes a lot of noise.  A chisel is held in one hand, a hammer in the other, and bits of the plaster are removed making holes.  Now that I have two a two story house the bottom plaster must match the top and in order to do that the chinks must be made.  After that the plaster is applied, the old and new plaster will be seamless.

Men at work.  Front of house facing street.
Here you can really see the chinks.  Every chick is a very solid pound of a hammer.  You can imagine my days.

Homage to Frida is complete.  I will have a wall of nichos in my studio.  They are very addictive and fun to do.

Wow - I have been trying to leave a comment and I seem to just get a series of ever-continuing "9"s rolling across the screen. Just realized that my "9" was stuck! Is this the universe trying to tell me something?? 9 is my lucky number?? or perhaps it's time for a new keyboard!
Anyway, I'm so happy to see this progress. But what a pain with the chinking! This too will pass! I can relate to the noise. It's now one year since our neighbors started their current project with the constant trucks roaring up the driveway. Oh well. Could be worse. I'm glad to be back and look forward to catching up on things!!

HA HA Patty! Still laughing about number '9'. How is the 'growth' going with the noise at your neighbours? I still have another couple of days of 'chinking' inside the walls - should be interesting. Glad your home. Look forward to hearing more about your journey.
