* Today at Quinta de Luz

A busy day around la Luz today.  Maria is here busy cleaning.  Alvinino has climbed my tree in the back yard and is trimming it.  Jose is painting the side of the house.  Pedro is busy painting in the studio.

Can't wait for it to begin blooming and turning green.

Are you able to see the circles under the scallop edge?  Pedro is painting them all by hand ... so stencils happening here!

My friends arrived the night before last.  They were the last flight out of O'Hare (Chicago).  Last night had a wonderful dinner at Dona Diabla, a restaurant which cooks traditional food from the Oaxaca region of Mexico.  Very special to see them, and to know they will be here for the next couple of months.  I'll tell you more about the dinner tomorrow.   For now, Hasta Manana.

Wow - sounds like lots going on! you are bolder than me with your vibrant studio colors!! Lots of energy there! (yes, I can see the circles.) Yesterday my window coverings went up (it gets hot in there) and today we ordered some flagstone for a little patio. Hopefully, it will help to keep so much dirt coming in on my feet! Have a great time sharing your new environment with your guests. I bet you will all have a fabulous time!! Oh - love the new baby digs!!!!

It did take courage to try the colours I wanted. I almost chickened out and went for a pale yellow. I'm glad I didn't. I adore my room. A little patio for your studio ... how gorgeous. You can eventually put a little roof over it and have a place to sit outside. I will be there in spirit for your studio warming!
