* Another Monday ... Sheesh!

Another week gone.  A new one begun.  Faster, Faster, until there was none! Yesterday, Pat (owner of this place) Marijo (manager of this place) and I went on a lovely tour of each others property.

Sitting just outside of town, within walking distance to major facilities, Pat and Marijo's property lies at the foot of the mountains overlooking the part of the dam.  In front of them lies Federal Land, never to be built on.  They bought a lot together and plan on splitting it into two.  A lovely large lot, plenty of room for two homes.  What a great idea.

Look at that view!

Pat is trying to explain in broken Spanish that it is alright for Senor to ride on this land anytime he wishes.  (HELLO PAT .... this is his land!)  We couldn't get her attention so she babbled on while we giggled.

Then off to my house which now has a name.  "Quinta de Luz"  of Villa of Light
Quinta de Luz has not changed much since my last photos.  It's the weekend, today is an official holiday and tomorrow there will be no work done as the city is coming one more time to make sure the measurements of the subdivision are correct.

Pat has just returned from three months in Thailand.  She's still got jet lag, so we dropped her off at home while Marijo and I continued on to MamaMia's for an evening of dinner, drinks and some great entertainment.  A duo, guitar and base, singing Spanish music, great food, interesting company and HUGE margaritas.  What more does one require in life.  This next photo taken without flash, however, note the size of the glass!

It is now Monday.  Ivan and Kathleen (from Chicago) have been planning a trip out to Quinta de Luz for awhile now.  We then decided to spend the afternoon having a lovely long comida.  Which we did.  So very enjoyable.  Such lovely people to have met - we have a lot in common and I would say we are stuck with each other now.

They shared with me, this has been their official pose for photographs for 35 years!  How absolutely magical.
Since it is Benito Juarez's birthday this weekend, Ivan chose a revolutionary t-shirt to wear!  We spent the rest of the afternoon over wine and shrimp.  Delicious.  Home to refresh, then off to dinner at Bev's, a lady from Toronto who has invited me over.  I'll fill you in on this tomorrow.
